On April 19, 2024, Y&Y Showroom hosted an art talk event titled “Emotional Touchpoints – Art and Living Spaces”, organized by Mây Thênh Thang Art Space in collaboration with Y&Y Showroom and Fawookidi.
This event offered a refined conversation between visual art and interior design—two seemingly separate elements that are, in fact, deeply intertwined in the creation of inspiring and personalized living spaces.

A Journey Through Emotion
In today’s fast-paced world, our living spaces have become an extension of our individuality and emotions. Integrating art into interior design is no longer a trend—it has become an essential human need. The talks at the event took guests on a journey to explore the emotional depth of this integration:
Dr. Nguyễn Đức Vinh, with over 20 years of experience in interior design, opened the event with his talk “Emotion in Interior Design”, emphasizing how emotion is the “soul” behind every sketch, every piece of furniture.
Lighting expert Trần Ngọc Anh brought a fresh perspective with her presentation “Light in Interior Spaces”—highlighting how lighting is not just a technical element, but also an artistic medium that adds depth and mood to a space.
Lacquer painter Nguyễn Nam shared his personal journey in “Lacquer Art & the Artist’s Emotions”, guiding the audience through his vibrant inner world and the expressive qualities of this traditional medium.
Finally, Architect and Painter Bùi Thanh Việt Hùng explored the intersection between painting and architecture in his talk “Painting in Living Spaces”, portraying the home as a “canvas” where every individual becomes an artist in their own right.

A Space for Connection and Dialogue
“Emotional Touchpoints” was not just about listening—it was an open space for connection. It welcomed creative entrepreneurs, artists, and art enthusiasts to come together, share their stories, and spark inspiration.
The event also gave guests the chance to explore refined interior designs from Soothin and Duowei, alongside innovative sleep technology solutions from DeRUCCI, where function, emotion, and aesthetics are equally valued.

Held in an open-concept venue, the event allowed participants to fully experience how painting, lighting, and interior design can tell a unified emotional story—inviting reflection on how we might “live artfully” in our everyday spaces.
